Quicktime3

For now, the multimedia elements of this site are based on Quicktime3 from apple. It is a free download. You install (follow the directions) it then drag the enclosed plug-in to your browser's plug-ins folder.

The following information is from the apple quicktime site.

System Requirements

Windows,

• Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0
• 486DX at 66Mhz or any MPC2 compliant PC
• 16MB RAM
• Sound Blaster Compatible Card
• Installation of Direct X version 3.0 or higher is recommended
• Installation of the latest DirectDraw and DirectSound drivers is
• recommended.

Macintosh

• Mac OS 7.0 or later
• Either a:
• PowerPC Macintosh with 16MB of RAM, or
• 68020, 68030, or 68040 Macintosh with 8 MB of RAM

• The following features are only available on the Power Macintosh:
• MPEG-1
• DV
• 3D
• Magnify, ripple and cloud effects, floating-point audio

What is the QuickTime Plug-In?

Apple's QuickTime Plug-in for Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer lets you experience QuickTime content directly in the browser window. You no longer need a separate helper application to view QuickTime content over the Internet. You can also view QuickTime VR panoramas and objects right in your browser.
