The work takes the form of the ritual planting of a real garden. Here audience members participate by raking the soil.

The Spirit Garden, apart from being a work of environmental theatre, incorporated gardeners and landscape architects as essential components in the development and realization of the work. Set and prop design. Costumes by Diana M. Smith.

Performed in Spring and Fall 2001 at the St. Norbert Art Centre, Manitoba.
